An egg is a product of nature and has its own packing, the scale, this protects the vulnerable inside against influences of the outside. If the scale cracks the egg is put naked to the influences from outside and the chance on contagion or decay increases considerably. For this reason the egg is mechanically checked on crack in the scale. Moreover the eggs are on the basis of random samples tested in the laboratory.
