Purchase and bird holders
The eggs which Eierenglorie Vermeulen purchases come of selected bird companies which meet all legal requirements. Moreover they have a IKB-certified guarantee system checked by the CPE. CPE stands for control office for bird, eggs and egg products.
Supply
The supply of eggs is done both with own means of transport and by selected transporters. All transporters stick to the relevant procedures of ISO9002-, HACCP-, IKB- and BRC- certificates of Eierenglorie Vermeulen. Damages and contagion of the cargo by too high temperatures and air humidity oscillations e.g. are prevented this way.
Check for incoming eggs
Orders with not sorted eggs which come from bird holders, undergo a visual control before they are weighed and introduced into the computer system. The weighted entity gets a label with bar code, so the entities can be identified at import in the sorting machine. At this stage monsters are taken per order which are later examined in the laboratory.
Control and laboratory
Quality is important, for this reason products must be checked if they meet our quality requirements. Eierenglorie Vermeulen does this in a number of ways. The visual control is most important and an egg is checked in much more ways. Not all lacks can be seen from the outside. Our sorting machine can detect cracks in the egg, which are not visible with the naked eye, by means of sound waves. In our laboratory eggs are checked on thickness of egg white (haugh-unit), traces of laying cage eggs and lacks in the scale. Contagions such as salmonella are examined by an autonomous laboratory.
Haugh-unit is measured by breaking an egg on a glass plate and putting a sensor in the egg white. The measurings are sent to a computer and saved on a database. By comparing data from the database and from the haugh-unit test, the freshness of the egg can be determined.
The results of tests are registered closely, are analysed and are discussed with the bird holders. The bird holders can this way swiftly intervene if there is something wrong with their eggs or hens.
Storage
After weighing and labelling, the eggs are stored in the company hall of Eierenglorie Vermeulen. In this company hall the temperature and air humidity are registered daily. This way we can act swiftly if parameters are exceeded. Strict monitorings of personal hygiene and compliance with the cleaning programme ensure clean storage and production surroundings.
Production
We consider ourselves to be an innovating and progressive company and that becomes apparent bests in our production department. The computer-controlled sorting machine checks, weighs, sorts, prints and packs eggs in every conceivable packing. By malignant investments in machine applications and information technology we are able to optimally manage and master our production process and.
Distribution
Eierenglorie Vermeulen takes the wishes of its consumers according schipment into account. We manage the distribution ourselves, only at peaks in the sale we hire distributors. Egg products are conditioned during transport to guarantee the quality of the egg products. Vast controls and recordings secure the conditions of the distribution and the quality of the products.
